Welcome to
Central Texas Therians
Central Texas Therians is group based in Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas focused on providing a community oriented safe space for Therians and Alterhumans aged 18 and up. We host monthly park meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month! These meets are designed for social interaction so Therians and Alterhumans can catch up with each other and meet new friends.Though we are an 18+ community we treat the environment in a semi PG-13 manner. We are a safe space for discussion, including political topics(note we are not a political group). In addition we try to foster an environment where communication, conflict resolution, and acceptance are encouraged. Our Meets are open to anyone. We may have a focus on Therians and Alterhumans but feel free to show up even if you are not a Therian or invite a non-Therian friend. We just request that everyone is respectful to each other's opinions and identities. These meets should be a fun, social, Community gathering. Our Telegram chat is also open to all! Please read the Community Rules at the bottom of the page before joining!

We believe in the free sharing of information and education. Below are some resources we've collected for support and education surrounding Therians, Alterhumanity, and Otherkin.
CTXT Community Rules
Universal Rules

If someone or something in the group upsets you, we recommend speaking up. Disagreements are normal, and resolving them helps contribute to a healthy and positive community! (For assistance, search for "Fair Fighting Rules")
If someone or something from outside the group upsets you, feel free to talk about it. Please observe the following: 1. Political discussion is allowed if it follows all other rules, however Central Texas Therians is not a political group, takes no political stance, and does not discriminate based on political affiliation. (Human struggles affect us all.) 2. Do not use the names or identifying information of other people when doing so. (This includes the sharing of callout posts.) 3. Refrain from discussion of all other advanced 18+ topics including but not limited to as pornography, drug use, and sex.

Do not spam the chat, everyone knows that one group chat with hundreds to thousands of meaningless messages that they don't want to keep up with.
Meet Rules
Meets should be kept pg-13
Use of drugs, alcohol, nicotine, tobacco, or other related products are prohibited.
Maintain a respectful attitude towards yourself and others.
Open Moderation Policy
When a post violates a rule, the post will be quote-tagged and the poster will be asked to delete it in chat and DM. (This gives everyone a chance to recognize what the issue was or where the line is.) If they are not deleted in a timely manner then they will be deleted by mod. A member reposting content that has been removed by an admin will immediately be removed.
Repeated or deliberate infractions may result in limits on posting, temporary loss of posting privileges or group access, etc.

Central Texas Therians promotes communication, conflict resolution, and radical acceptance.
We believe in people's ability to handle disagreements and disputes, and will do our best to facilitate a human solution before any administrative actions are taken (i,e, a ban.) Every situation will be taken seriously and handled on a case by case basis to ensure the harmony and safety of our community to the best of our ability.
